Unlike personal clothing, nnot much thought is given to these ever day articles. Hence we spent a long time researching sustainable and durable fabrics and experimenting with different designs to find the best solution for our range of aprons.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose an Apron Style ?
The choice of apron style you choose depends on the use for which it is intended and your own personal clothing comfort style.
The half apron is ideal for light cooking and is great for warm weathers where you don’t want additional fabric over you.

The cross back apron is a slightly looser style offering full coverage and a very comfortable wear for long hours . It is a great option if you don’t like the feel of a strap across your neck. Our cross back aprons come in two sizes which fit most people. The cross back apron is good for use in the kitchen as well as for gardening, soap making, arts and crafts and other activities that can get messy.

The classic bib style apron is a full coverage apron and has an adjustable neck strap and waist ties. It offers a more snug fit as compared to the cross back apron, and is ideal for you if prefer or need that fit.

Should I choose organic cotton or a hemp apron ?
The choice of fabric for your apron depends on the frequency and intensity of use. While both our organic cotton and hemp aprons are made from medium weight fabric ( 210 -230 GSM ),Hemp fabric is stronger and more durable than cotton. Hemp is also naturally anti-microbial in nature. On the other hand our cotton aprons are priced lower than our hemp aprons and will also have fewer creases as compared to hemp after wearing. So if you have lighter work and like a crisper look, the cotton aprons are your go to choice. Our hemp aprons are work horses. While more expensive than the cotton aprons, they will last longer and will also get softer with every use.
Are the aprons machine washable ?
Absolutely. We however recommend washing them in cold water or in temperatures below 40 °C with an eco-friendly detergent to reduce your environmental impact.
How do I wash and care for my Hemp Apron ?
Aprons will get stained !! Their job is to protect your clothing. We recommend washing your hemp apron in cold water or water below 40 °C with an eco-friendly detergent. How ever if regular washing does not remove stains, for our hemp aprons we recommend soaking them in half a bucket of water with half a cup of vinegar for half hour, before washing as usual. We do not recommend using chlorine bleach on your aporns.
How do I wash and care for my organic cotton Apron ?
Aprons will get stained !! Their job is to protect your clothing. We recommend washing your organic cotton apron in cold water or water below 40 °C with an eco-friendly detergent. How ever if regular washing does not remove stains, for our cotton aprons aprons we recommend soaking them in half a bucket of water with a mild detergent for half hour, before washing as usual. As our organic cotton aprons are dyed with natural plant based dyes, we do not recommend using vinegar or bleach as it will fade the colours.
